In this essay, we provide findings from 2 studies made to explore socialization that is gender-related Latino/a families. In learn 1, 22 adult Latinas (ages 20вЂ“45) finished in-depth interviews. In learn 2, 166 Latino/a university students (58% females; M age 21.4 years) finished self-report surveys. Research 1 findings claim that many Latino/a parents socialize their daughters with techniques being marked by вЂњtraditionalвЂќ gender-related expectations and communications. outcomes of learn 2, including descriptive analyses in addition to development of scales to explore household correlates of gender-related socialization, help and expand these findings. Male and female participants described various experiences of home tasks, socialization of gender-typed behavior, and freedom to follow social tasks or get access to privileges.
